About the director
Mrs. Danielle Trial Lucini has been the music director at Mount Pleasant High School since September of 2014. She has previously taught at Paul Cuffee High School in Providence, Rhode Island as well as served as a substitute teacher in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with Honors, a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre, as well as a Minor in Dance from Rhode Island College. As part of her honors coursework in Music Education, Mrs. Lucini completed a senior thesis titled "The effect of adaptive instruction on the developmental rhythm aptitude and rhythm achievement of pre-school students with hearing impairment" which was published in 2012. She served as a presenter at the Northeast Regional Honors Conference in April 2011, where she presented her research. She has since presented at various conferences hosted by RIMEA/NAfME. She is a National Teacher Ambassador for Donors Choose as well as a Remind Connected Educator. Her major Instruments are Voice (soprano) and Percussion. Outside of music, Mrs. Lucini competes in downhill ski racing with Nature Valley NASTAR, studies ballet en pointe, performs at St. Timothy's Church in Warwick, RI, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two pit bulls.
